When the Evolution 7 was first released, most people were chuffed that there was a completely new chassis and body from Mitsubishi. They thought it would marry the Group A hyper handling and power from the older 5 and 6 with modern looks and comfort of the 21st century. Instead, the 7 felt duller, slower, and heavier. The 8 was more of the same, just a slightly different face and extra gear, but the 8 MR set the tone for the CT9A chassis. The conversion of the roof panel to aluminium, upgrading the turbocharger wheel to a titanium unit, factory Bilstein shocks, and lighter optional BBS wheels meant the 8 MR finally moves like the Evolution it is meant to be.
 
This Evolution 8 MR on sale here is a relatively stock example. We've restored some of the panels that had faded paint, and fully detailed the car for the next owner to enjoy.
